Hydrophore sets

 

Introduction
Hydrophore sets manufactures by the Eko-System company are comprehensive, one- or multi-pump, fully automated devices for rising the forcing pressure of media.
They are widely used in household and fire water supply systems and in technological installations including:

  • urban and rural water supply network,
  • water treatment plants,
  • housing development pumping stations,
  • multi-story residential buildings,
  • public use buildings,
  • fire system installations,
  • industrial installations,
  • technology installations.

Pumps
Standard STAR-ZH hydrophore sets manufactured by the Eko-Systemy company are equipped with rotodynamic pumps connected in parallel (1-6 pumps, in multi-pump sets one pumps always acts as an active stand-by pump).

Depending on technical parameters and the hydrophore set employed, the following pumps are employed:

  • vertical multistage pumps (standard and electronic),
  • linear single stage and multistage pumps,
  • horizontal monobloc single stage and multistage pumps,
  • according to user design.

Hydraulic parameters of specific pumps conform with the parameters declared by the manufacturer of the pumps used in the hydrophore set.

Usually pumps of the following manufacturers are employed: Ebara, Grundfos, KSB, LFP.


Fittings
Suction connector of the pump is equipped, depending on connector diameter, in a ball valve or an inter-flange cut-off valve, or optionally in a check valve with screwed connectors or a flange valve.

Discharge connector of the pump is equipped, depending on connector diameter, in a ball valve or an inter-flange cut-off valve, and in a check valve with screwed connectors or a flange valve.

Collectors
Collectors with connectors for specific pumps can be made of tinned steel pipes or of corrosion-resistant steel (e.g. 1.4301 stainless steel or, upon customer's request, of other high-grade steel).

The collectors terminate in a PN10 flange connector (or PN16 if requested so by the customer). In order to reduce water hammer effect, an expansion have been installed on the discharge collector and adapted to the nominal capacity of the pump and the whole device.

Supporting structure

Supporting frame has been made of tinned steel or 1.4301 stainless steel sections (upon customer's request they can be made of other high-grade steel), on a vibration isolator so as to minimize the transfer of vibration to the ground and compensate the unevenness of the ground in the place where the device is assembled.

Control

In the STAR-ZH hydrophore sets, a cabinet is assembled on a supporting structure or as a free-standing device assembled directly on the subsoil or at the room wall.

Cabinets usually have IP54 protection class enclosure in line with PN-92/E08106, it includes all the necessary powering and control elements.

On the enclosure doors there are keyboard modules, LCD screen modules and indicators signaling the work mode.

On the side wall there is the main switch.


The work of pumps can be controlled by:

  • two-step delay control (the so called cascade control),
  • continuous control through changing the rotation speed of the pump (with a frequency converter in the control cabinet),
  • continuous control through changing the rotation speed of the pump (with a integrated frequency converter in the case of electronic pumps).

Each time those parameter requirements as well as water supply conditions and the costs of both purchasing and operation that are taken into account when making decision concerning control variants.

If requested so by our customers, there is a possibility of making a control cabinet which would conform with specific technical specification provided by the contracting party.

Monitoring and remote measurements

We offer comprehensive monitoring solutions for the hydrophore system. It is possible to communicate with the user via:

  • texting,
  • GPRS,
  • radio,
  • wire connections.

We also offer design services. Our automation engineers are able to construe a monitoring network for the pump sets or for a single facility according to User guidelines.

Moreover we can modernize the already existing facilities and make them, conform with the needs and requirements of the user.
