Settlement tanks

The separators produced by EKO-SYSTEMY work with a decanter which is aimed at reducing the amount of suspended matter (i.e. fraction heavier than water). They are used in front of a separator and they are responsible for the first treatment stage. It is a prefabricated reinforced concrete tank with varying internal diameter (B-45). The connector holes are equipped with seals. At the top there is a Ø 600 or Ø 800 plate with a cast iron manhole which load class depends on the foundation ground. Upon customers request the settlement tank can be made of PEHD or polyester laminates.

Operation principle

The liquid flowing into the settlement tank is directed on a deflector which directs the stream downwards and slows down the flow of waste water. The waste water is treated with the use of the sedimentation principle (sedimentation of fractions heavier than water i.e. sand, gravel etc.) Reduction of suspended matter in the settlement tank protects the separator against fast silt up and improves on its efficiency in separation.
